Conservation Efforts

Proceeds from the Conservation Carousel support the Zoo’s global conservation efforts. Each ride adds up to make a significant impact in saving wildlife and wild places. With over 30 programs in Utah and around the world, the Zoo is committed to conservation.


Being good ambassadors of wildlife is not only providing animals with excellent care but also calls for caring for them in the wild. The Zoo supports many conservation initiatives around the world, but focuses on 6 key animals – We call these OUR BIG SIX.
